Is it just me, or is the Planters’ Mr. Peanut seriously disturbing? I mean he has that icky bulge in his nether regions due to his peanut shape. And his legs are all womanly and it looks like he’s wearing tights. Throw in white gloves, a cane, top hat, and monocle and you've got a creepy mascot that isn’t appropriate for the general public.
He isn't creepy. He looks a lot like me, when I go out ballroom dancing. But the 1918 version is quite disturbing. What is that little thing poking out at the bottom? I don't remember that being on any peanut I've ever eaten. And why is he looking so smug? Is it because of the little pokey thing at the bottom? Or is it because he knows his nuts are delectable?
If you're nice enough to Mr. Peanut, he might butter up and make a good manwich.
All I have to say to that is, where on earth do you come up with this stuff son?
