Oh, Jakers! How painfully do you languish? Let me extract your angst ridden soul from the miry pit of despair.
I'm reading a book about intelligence. It's mostly over my head. But one of the interesting ideas flung about is that thought, intelligence, the brain, etc. are basically software. You have neurons and chemicals and crap (my words, not the author's) that form the basic hardware that's acts mindlessly (input -> output). Then there's all these 'programs' running all over the brain at the same time gathering input, processing stuff, doing output, and, most interestingly of all, evaluating itself.
Anyway, I know it sounds boring, but it's one thing that's kept my thoughts occupied for a while.
