Hooray! It's package tracking time again. I ordered an ethernet upgrade kit for my Tivo from 9thtee.com. (I have a series 1 Tivo that doesn't have built in ethernet support). Why, you ask? Because we want to get rid of our home phone (which Tivo uses to download scheduling info) and rely solely on our cell phones. It seems that telemarketers are the only ones that call us on that line anyway, so why pay $50/month for it? I've actually wanted to do this for quite some time, but the whole Tivo thing was an issue... Then my parents actually dropped their home phone, which made me get off my ass. I mean, my parents can't pass me up technologically... that just cannot stand!
Ever since I went without my land line I feel free. It's like the removal of a vestigal appendage. Not that I've had that done. Though a lot of people get their appendices out. Is appendices plural for appendix? Man, I've got the munchies.
