Thanks for nothing!

I told you all to start watching Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. You didn’t. And now it’s cancelled. I watched the final episode today, and it made me sad and mad to see it go. This was one of the few genuinely funny shows on TV and it got canned... Sigh, why can’t I like the same stupid shows the rest of the world likes? I mean, it’d be so great if I loved Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond. Then I could watch the same five jokes played out week after week and never have to worry about the show being cancelled. Or I could get a lobotomy... it’d be about the same.

Wow, do we ever have different tastes in things, Jake. I can't stand Tough Crowd, mostly because I can always smell George Bush's poop on Colin Quinn's nose whenever I flip by. I'm very happy to see it go.

I don't get it, it's a show where people express their opinions on issues, and you didn't like it because Quinn has a different opinion than you? Bill Maher is far too liberal for me to agree with, but I still loved Politically Incorrect...

BTW, it does seem weird that we have pretty opposite tastes in entertainment. I would have guessed we'd agree on more stuff! :)

I watched it one time. I loved it. However, because of my schedule, I never "found" it again to watch it. I blame the cable company for the obscurity. (oh, and Nathan, too)

It's not that I disagree with him - which I do completely - it's that arguing with the television is pointless. And of the few times I've seen his show he hasn't had anyone on there that threw up more than a nominal opposition to the stupid things he says. It's the same reason I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh. It's frustrating when his right wing propaganda goes completely unchallenged.

But what's really odd about his whole fascist persona is that I was under the impression that he was gay. If that's true, then he may be the first gay republican that I've ever heard of. I'm sure they must exists - like jews for jesus. But I just don't know of any.
