Someone at work downloaded the Episode III trailer and shared it out, so I got to watch it without signing up for anything... I watched it, and I got all excited in spite of myself. I can’t help it; I think it’s a battered wife syndrome kind of thing...
Things started off really good between me and George, but then he neglected me for far too many years. Recently I’ve been getting more attention from him, but it’s bad attention. He’s hit me a few times in the last couple of years, and each time I run off and live with my mother for a while (in the basement, obviously). But then I remember the good times, and he promises things will change and I start believing him. Well, I’ve moved back in with him, and so far things are going OK (the Special Edition DVDs were the equivalent of verbal abuse, but at least he hasn’t hit me). Well May 19th is when the next movie comes out... He wouldn’t hurt me 3 days before my birthday, would he?
You're getting beat up by George Lucas? Have you seen that guy lately? My 80 year old grandmother beats his punk ass regularly. And besides, even she thinks his movies suck now. Just break it off with him, man. Get the laser disk version of the original unfuckedwith trilogy and remember how it used to be, but don't try to live in the past with his new crap. It's over.
Do you have the laser disk versions? I would like DVD copies of them, but I don't know where to go to find them...
A friend of mine has the first two, but he's in Indianapolis now. I have a repro of the first one, though, in all its travelling-mattes no-crappy-cgi-jaba goodness. Mmmmm.

(I don't mean that we all have to be die-hards and camp out for the premier, but maybe in the first few days of its release?)
I don't know if I can sign up for that... See if I go out of my way to see it, then I'm only making myself more vulnerable to humiliation when the movie sucks as bad as it probably will.
