I should probably tread lightly here, but I’ve gotta say that the pricing scheme for these Xbox Live Arcade games seems WAY too high. The nature of this feature of XBL is obviously not for the hardcore gamer demographic, but it seems like they’re pricing themselves out of the casual gamer demographic as well. I think they need some good games at good prices if this thing is going to go anywhere (although I will be getting the startup CD for the free Ms. Pac-Man).
As the article's author mentions, all sorts of games like these are available on the web with your PC for FREE. I think they should make it just the cost of the packaging plus the cost of the Live membership. But I guess someone thinks they can make money off this so they price it up to maximize profit (find the balance between price and quantity).
