I finished Elmore Leonard’s The Hot Kid this weekend. The book was a birthday gift from my parents, and they chose well! This one takes place in the 20’s & 30’s and follows a U.S. Marshal making a name for himself by taking down bank robbers and other various unsavories. The book is filled with the top-notch dialog that Leonard has become famous for. His characters always have that ‘too cool’ attitude going (ala Get Shorty) and this book is no exception. It was a fast, fun read and now I’m looking forward to reading his other new one!
