Dave and I watched Batman Begins last night at the Bagdad Theater. I’m going to pull out the classic Jake review and say "it was just alright." I mean, it was hands down the best Batman movie, but is that really saying much? Some notes:
I enjoyed the gritty non-comic book tone of most of the movie and was disappointed when the cheesy one-liners started coming out (especially during the final car chase scene).
What’s the deal with Katie Holmes? She seems like a pretty crappy actress to me... and am I supposed to think she’s “hot?”
I’m done with shaky camera fight scenes... Three minutes of unintelligible close-up tussling is not entertainment, so stop it, Ok?
I really need to remember to pee before I watch movies at the Bagdad. I always get a pint of Hammerhead (my most favoritest of beers) while there, and then spend the second half of the movie trying to decide whether to hold it or ditch out during a slow scene... When we saw The Island, I had to go twice!! Seriously, they need to have a reminder before the movie: “Please turn your cellphones off, and don’t forget to pee before the movie starts!”

I have not seen this movie, but it's only becuase I never really wanted to.
So many people at my work have been utterly raving about it, but I have never really been a big batman fan, and I totally agree with the whole Katie Holmes thing..
I heard her part in the movie was simply Unnesessary and lame to put it lightly...
