I saw a DeLorean drive past me today... my kid brain instantly thought "Oh, cool!!" and then I realized "Wait, that car is just plain UGLY!"
Also, I think it's safe to assume that DeLorean owners are sick to death of hearing Back to the Future references, right? So when someone calls them Marty McFly, do they imagine killing that person by:
a) Hitting them with their car going 88 miles per hour?
b) Electrocuting them with 1.21 'jigga'watts of electricity?
c) Telling a van full of Libyan Nationalists that "that guy" stole their plutonium?
d) All of the above.
I think the car is ugly cool, it's definately different, that's what I like about it. Have you ever seen the crash tests done on the Delorean? The thing disinigrates on impact, freeing the driver to sail through the air. Awesome. Don't get in a moving one.
It definitely falls in that "what were they thinking?" spot for me. In that way it is like the gremlin, the element, or pretty much all SUVs.
It's made of alluminum and the doors open upward...what more do you need to know?
I would have to say all of the above son..
It just is simply true...
I shall return..
Try knowing, that they are made of stainless steel!
Yeah, I was going to correct him, but I liked the idea of an aluminum car way too much. I mean just think about how nice and easy pop cans crush down, and then imagine sitting in that can as it smashes into a wall going 88 mph. CRUNCH!
On the plus side, I bet you could still return it for the 5 cent deposit...
