My iPod died. I’ve had it for 10 months, and now it’s dead. In the past 10 months, Billy constantly pointed out the foolishness of carrying around a hard drive, and apparently he was right.

Since it’s been less than one year, it’s still under warrantee, so for a “mere” $30 for shipping and handling Apple will

(1) repair the product at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts,
(2) exchange the product with a product that is new or which has been manufactured from new or serviceable used parts and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or
(3) refund the purchase price of the product.

That’ll be nice, until it breaks again...

Apple's customer service is shit. I had troubles with my ipod and they made me go down to their "genius bar" to talk to someone about it (let's not even talk about conceited). Ultimately, I did get it replaced with a new one, but I will never buy a product of their's again.

I would get my money back and go buy a new one. Maybe you got a bad one.
