No respect!

Billy was ranting a few days ago about how we, as computer programmers, don’t get enough respect. It doesn’t bother me all that much, but we discussed some interesting points. So, read away

Yeah, like you said, Jake, it doesn't really bother me much, but it's totally true. People have no concept usually what programming is, and most people assumes it involves fixing computers...or that if you're a programmer you know how to and like to do that. Along with Billy, I really dislike fixing people's computers, especially if they have AOL on them. I do it because I can't say no, but yeah, it has no relation to my profession or skills really. Oh well... Interesting conversation.

You forgot the part where I told you my feelings about casts.

The ones that help your broken arm heal or the ones that change one type of data into another? Both of them are useful but definitely have their downsides.

Okay, guys we the little people get it, but I still need my darn computer fixed. Who am I to call on?????

Moms get a fix-your-computer-for-free pass!

hahahahha...
I really really enjoyed reading that..>
I wish you would have posted more of the conversation..
I am not one of those who show no respect for your profession..
I am one who longs to be one of you..
Just know its true my friends..
I envy you to the TEE...
