Man, what happened to me? I was such a good blogger (sometimes) but 20 days of inactivity is just unacceptable! A lot has been happening, here are the highlights…
I’ve signed back up to WoW. I’m not playing it a ton, but I occasionally spend a spare hour or two in Azeroth. Oh, Dave signed up for it too, so we’re playing new characters together when our spare time syncs up.
Kara and I spend four days on Kauai and we had a great time! We drove all around the island and checked out lots of cool stuff. We also did a helicopter tour which was pretty neat! I’ll definitely want to spend more time on that island.
Billy and Kalin are here until the 29th. This last weekend was lots of fun, on Saturday we took them to see the Nakalele blowhole and we ended up driving all the way around west Maui (a first for us). When we got back to Kihei, we played at Wailea beach for the rest of the day. Yesterday we went snorkeling at Ulua beach and had a GREAT time! Kara and I bought nice snorkel masks, and it made all the difference in the world.
This next weekend we are going to Haleakala to hike four miles into the crater. We have reservations for a cabin up there, so we are going to be camping overnight in the middle of nowhere!
Wasn’t last week’s episode of Battlestar Galactica just insanely awesome? There’s only one right answer to that question… and it’s “OH YEAH!”
Alright, that’s it for now… see you in 20 more days... Well, maybe I’ll be back sooner… we’ll see.
Dude, 20 days is very harsh indeed..
My buddy, Eddy keeps on driving me crazy with his constant pushing for me to watch Battle Star Galactica and so I really need to just set the ole DVR to record it...
I am really into the show called Heroes right now..
Is it better than that show?
It's about time. Like I'm one to talk. Heroes is a great show, I think it's funny how Tony kind of makes it sound like you guys are in a different country and maybe don't have the same tv shows we do. ha ha ha.
Are you really going to make Kalin hike 4 miles?
Tony,
I'll answer for Jake, since he may not reply until November 12th....
Battlestar Galactica (BSG) is much more "epic" than Heroes. Personally, I'm a big fan of both.
Jake asked me if he should pick up Heroes. (His criteria was to only pick up another show this season if it's the same caliber as BSG) I said no.
I suggested that he wait until the Heroes DVD comes out in the summer. But I think Heroes is once of those shows that very entertaining and worth the time for entertainment sake.
To be fair, Jake is moving and his new place has no Internet. To be honest, he could take five minutes out of his busy work day to keep us entertained.
Amen on all counts. You shouldn't try to pick up Heroes in the middle. GREAT SHOW.
Alright, I'm ready to check out Heroes... Now I just need to find the episodes I've missed...
OK, I have to add something, after last night's episode (7) of Heroes.
I really like how they are addressing this whole "powers" thing and how it does not necessarily polarize people into being "good" or "bad" or automatic Heroes.
Though these people are linked, they seem to be their own hero and/or their own villain. Apparently they will eventually impact the world, but I'm not sure if it will be all that intentional.
The writers are apparently keeping away from the x-men (good vs bad) and more towards Unbreakable(purpose vs non)
After finishing this post, I realize that I'm now classified as a "fan" of Heroes.
