Well, it’s been another 20 days, so I better write something…
The Portland trip was fun, but MAN was it a reminder of what we’re missing. I couldn’t believe how cold I was all the time. Besides just being cold outside, I also realized that there are other ‘cold things’ that I don’t have to deal with in Hawaii.
- Waiting forever for the ice cold tap water to warm up (when using the sink or shower)
- Avoiding Kara’s frozen feet when getting into bed
- Freezing cold toilet seats (YOW!)
And maybe this was a bad time to return, since Portland had record breaking rain this month, but seriously it didn’t stop raining the whole time we were there.
Let’s just say that the Portland trip gave us a new appreciation of where we are currently living!
Other than the weather and the storm cloud on Saturday night, I was glad you guys came to visit. I thought you guys fit right back in. We will see you in the spring.
I know what you mean... it's actually impossible to get water cold enough to drink out of the tap here too.
We bought our Christmas tree last night - a 3.5 foot potted palm tree. :)
